Getting there

One of the things I love about Grand County is that it is not off of I70, reducing the risk of traffic delays or highway closures. Berthoud Pass can be either exciting or daunting for your out of town guests, but it offers spectacular views as your drive back down into Winter Park. For your guests who want a bit more adventure, the drive through Rocky Mountain National Park is worth the extra time it takes to get to Grand County. Trailridge Road is closed during the winter months (or when the snow starts to fall in the park, which is October-ish).

Lodging

Many of the the venues in Grand County come with lodging, but if you are looking at one that does not, AirBnB is your best option. There are rentals through Winter Park and there are lodges around the Grand Lake area that are worth considering as well. Be sure to encourage your guests to book in advance, as the summer months to fill up.

Also, many of the above venues offer lodging for guests, even if your wedding is not at that location. Check out Devils Thumb, Grand Lake Lodge, The A Frames and Snow Mountain Ranch for your lodging options.
