Welcome to the world, Miss Lucy!

After having to reschedule a couple times, last week I spent a perfect afternoon with Lucy and her parents. I always say that baby calls the shots. This often means that sleeping or feeding become part of our story. In this case, we got to document both, in addition to some great wide eyed shots of her big beautiful eyes. I loved seeing Lucy's adoring parents work as a team and love on her throughout the session. Lauren and Brandon, it was so wonderful to meet you. Thank you so much for allowing me into your home to document this special time with your sweet girl.

Paige & Todd // Bailey, CO

Paige and Todd were married at her family's ranch in Bailey. Members of her family acted as planners, florists, bakers and offered overall support throughout the day. Following a flock of flower girls, adorned in floral crowns, the ceremony was expertly delivered by a teacher and also dear friend against views of Crooked Top mountain. After the ceremony guests proceeded to the reception site, a beautifully lit tent with cocktails, appetizers and spirited bean bag competition. Guests found there table assignments through small toy animals that the bride collected and painted herself. As guests finished dinner, toasts began and Paige and Todd were honored by parents and siblings with heartfelt sentiments and well wishes... Next, the dancing began and Mannequin brought down the house with with soulful beats and high energy performance. An all around beautiful celebration for a deeply loved couple.

Paige and Todd, it was such an honor to work with you. I loved documenting your day and being part of your celebration. I wish you the very best! Enjoy your preview!

Ali & Rob // Keyston Ranch, CO

What a perfect Colorado day (even with the rain) to celebrate Ali and Rob's wedding day! Keystone Ranch provided a breathtaking backdrop for Rob and Ali to exchange their vows in front of their friends and family. Typical for Colorado, there was heavy rain right up until the start of the ceremony, but, just in time, the skies parted and guests took their seats.

Ali and Rob met while in the Peace Corps in Mongolia. Their story was told by Rob's father, who served as officiant, during the ceremony. Mongolian traditions were weaved into the ceremony and souvenirs were on display at the reception. Following dinner, guests turned their attention to the best man and brother of the bride for toasts that brought both tears and belly laughs. After cake, Ali and Rob took to the dance floor for their first dance with the help of their band, Mannequin the Band. The dance floor opened up and the Ali and Rob danced the night away with family and friends.

A HUGE thank you to Elizabeth Waldmann at Distinctive Mountain Events for planning the perfect day for Ali and Rob, and for staying so cool under the pressure of an outdoor rain storm just before the ceremony.

Thank you also to Laura Anderson for shooting along side me.

Congratulations Ali and Rob!

Ashleigh & Rick // Arapahoe Basin, CO

Ashleigh and Rick, your day was mind blowing. Your details were other worldly; your dress, stunning. Your friends and family were charming, so kind, and felt like mine. The venue and backdrop to your ceremony took my breath away. The party and the toasts after your ceremony were heartfelt, funny and brilliant. BUT... the very best thing about this day, my most favorite detail ... is the love you share for each other. I am the luckiest photographer on earth that I got to be there when you first saw each other on your wedding day. That moment, with its' emotion, excitement and overwhelming love was truly amazing to witness. I'm honored that I was able to be the one to document the celebration of your love for each other, your friends and family standing by your side in support, and the tears of joy you shed when you first saw each other, and then the tears again when you exchanged vows. My friends, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for trusting me with these moments. So much love to you both!

Emma & Eddie // Grand Lake, CO

When I first met Emma at her sister's wedding last summer, I was hopeful that I would get to be a part of another Harrington wedding in the near future. SO .... I was THRILLED when I heard from Emma in December and she and Eddie were engaged! Seeing the Harrington family again, both immediate and extended, was a summer high point for me. Both families and the wedding party, were nothing short of wonderful and it was a joy to spend the weekend documenting the incredible bond between Emma and Eddie, their families and their friends.

Eddie and Emma got married on top of a private boat house overlooking Grand Lake, where Emma's grandparents traveled to by covered wagon in the early 1900s. Their family cabin has been a gathering place for decades. It was no surprise that Emma and Eddie chose a to exchange their vows at a private boat house that overlooked Grand Lake. Following the ceremony, Emma and Eddie took a romantic cruise around the lake before returning for the wedding party and heading to their reception, where their guests greeted them from the dock. The beautiful Grand Lake Yacht Club was also a place where many memories were made for Emma and, more recently, Eddie. The catering was expertly done by @Wild Horse Catering and the tables were adorned with beautiful flowers from @The Perfect Petal. @Tunisia Band, a Harrington and Caroline Colvin favorite, rocked the house until after midnight. They never disappoint!

Emma and Eddie's wedding day included tears of joy, toasts and roasts, belly laughs and high fives, wildlife and beloved dogs ... and one heck of a dance party! The personal meaning behind the locations and the details of their wedding were touching reminders of both family history and a new beginning as husband and wife.

Thank you, Emma and Eddie! I am so happy for you both and wish you the very best that life has to offer! <3
